Job Overview
Our client, an expanding family-centered 501(c)(4) nonprofit, is seeking an analytical, detail-driven Staff Accountant to maintain the financial integrity, data analytics, and reporting workflows of their organization. You will serve as the primary source of financial intelligence, transforming raw accounting data into actionable insights, dashboards, and reports to drive executive decision-making while ensuring every dollar is accurately categorized and audit-ready.

- Custom & Ad-Hoc Reporting: Build custom financial models, variance analysis templates, and ad-hoc reports to assist program directors and executive leadership with strategic planning and forecasting.

3. Grant Financial Management & Compliance
- Fund Accounting: Maintain strict separation between restricted and unrestricted funds; ensure grant expenditures align with funder restrictions and allowable cost principles.
- Budget vs. Actuals Analysis: Perform rigorous monthly variance analysis on active grant budgets against actual spending, flagging potential overruns or compliance issues with sufficient lead time.
