Overview
Our client is looking for a Marketing & PR Coordinator to support their founder and team across PR, copywriting, community management, influencer campaigns, listings, reporting, and campaign execution. In this hands-on role, you will write press releases, manage brand communities, coordinate influencer outreach, and prepare monthly performance reports. You will also communicate directly with clients, journalists, influencers, and partners to help bring integrated marketing campaigns from concept to launch.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Pacific Time (8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break)
Responsibilities
- Write press releases and on-brand blog posts for each client, following their tone and brand guidelines
- Manage community engagement for each brand: social media comments and DMs in Metricool, plus reviews and messages on Google Business Profile, Yelp, OpenTable and SevenRooms, answered promptly and in the brand’s voice
- Open projects in Workamajig for marketing campaigns, initiatives and social content, write the campaign and social media copy for each one, and track your projects and deadlines there (training will be provided)
- Run influencer campaigns: research and shortlist creators, handle outreach, coordinate visits and deliverables, and track results
- Research social media trends, formats and content ideas, and share what’s relevant for each client
- Coordinate with our social media manager on content plans, and with the wider team on marketing initiatives and content research
- Source pitching opportunities such as media requests, editorial calendars, awards and features, follow up with journalists, and keep media contacts and outreach organized
- Create and update listings for client events, tasting menus and promotions on client websites, Yelp and local listing and event sites
- Pull monthly marketing and campaign performance reports, coordinate with the paid media team, and package them for our founder’s review before they’re sent to clients
- Assist with marketing campaign ideation and execution, from first ideas through launch
Requirements
- 2+ years of marketing experience; agency, PR or hospitality experience strongly preferred
- Fluent in English, written and spoken, with flawless grammar and a natural, professional tone
- Comfortable and confident communicating with clients, journalists, influencers and partners by email, message and video call
- Samples of press releases, blog posts, or campaign and social media copy you’ve written
- Experience running or supporting influencer campaigns
- Experience managing social media comments, DMs, reviews and business listings for brands; Metricool, Google Business Profile, Yelp, OpenTable or SevenRooms experience is a plus
- Detail-oriented with dates, times, prices and menu details, so every listing is accurate
- Comfortable pulling data from social, review and ad platforms and organizing it into clear, client-ready reports
- Able to spot social media trends and turn them into practical, on-brand ideas
- Organized and self-directed: you read instructions fully, meet deadlines and work through problems before escalating
- Experience with a project management tool; Workamajig is a plus, and training will be provided
- Available Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Pacific Time
- Reliable internet, your own computer and a quiet workspace
- Application requirement: Submit your resume along with a one-page media alert written on the following topic (applications without a media alert will not be reviewed; shortlisted candidates will be invited to a video interview):
- Media alert topic: Saffron & Salt, a fictional modern Mediterranean restaurant, is launching a seven-course winter tasting menu on Thursday, January 21, 2027. The menu is $145 per guest with an optional $75 wine pairing, and media are invited to a preview tasting on Tuesday, January 19 at 6:00 PM.
