Job Overview

Our client is looking for an Xactimate Estimator to handle property restoration and mitigation estimates across five franchises in the Houston and Galveston, Texas areas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed, line-item estimates in Xactimate, ensuring full compliance with major U.S. insurance carrier programs and TPA guidelines.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm Central Time (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed, line-item estimates in Xactimate for restoration and mitigation jobs, including water damage
• Turn estimates around within the cycle times required by each TPA to keep claims moving
• Apply the guidelines and SLAs of Sedgwick, Alacrity Solutions and Contractor Connection so estimates are accepted
• Scope the materials, equipment and drying requirements for each job, such as drywall removal, air movers and dehumidifiers
• Review estimates for accuracy and compliance with carrier criteria to reduce rejections and payment disputes
• Check in daily with a summary of completed work, open queries and deliverables

Requirements

• Proven, hands-on experience writing estimates in Xactimate (must-have, no training provided)
• Experience estimating property restoration claims in the U.S. insurance market
• Working knowledge of the Sedgwick, Alacrity Solutions and Contractor Connection TPA programs
• Ability to meet tight cycle times while maintaining accuracy
• High level of attention to detail
• Readiness to complete a skills test after the interview (e.g., estimating a supplied list of items)
