The Opportunity

  • This is not a traditional marketing role.

  • It is not a pure sales position.

  • It is not a branding advisory role.

We are seeking a strategic yet highly hands-on operator who can transform leadership's vision into a repeatable project acquisition engine.

You will work directly with ownership to build the systems, processes, reporting structures, and accountability mechanisms that generate qualified opportunities and convert them into profitable projects.

You should be equally comfortable participating in strategic discussions with founders and rolling up your sleeves to improve CRM workflows, coach local teams, launch campaigns, review pipelines, and solve execution bottlenecks.

This role is ideal for someone who has helped scale a founder-led construction business and enjoys building from the ground up.

Position Summary

The Director of Strategic Growth & Business Development will own and optimize the organization's complete revenue generation process, including:

  • Growth strategy execution

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Growth Execution

Partner directly with ownership to translate strategic priorities into executable growth initiatives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Converting strategic priorities into actionable growth plans.
  • Developing campaigns and messaging aligned with customer needs.
  • Establishing measurable execution plans tied to business objectives.
  • Creating systems that support sustainable growth.
  • Identifying bottlenecks and recommending improvements.

Construction Project Acquisition

Build predictable channels for acquiring projects across the organization's service lines.

Areas of focus include:

  • Residential construction
  • Home renovations
  • ADU opportunities
  • Rebuild projects
  • Development opportunities
  • Investor relationships
  • Realtor partnerships
  • Referral programs
  • Architect and designer relationships
  • Community outreach initiatives

The goal is not random marketing activity, but rather the creation of a repeatable and measurable project acquisition system.

CRM Ownership & Revenue Operations

Own and optimize the CRM as the central operating system for growth.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and improving CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho, GoHighLevel, Monday.com, or similar systems.
  • Building pipelines from inquiry through signed contract.
  • Implementing automations and follow-up systems.
  • Tracking lead sources and conversion performance.
  • Establishing accountability through reporting.
  • Reducing founder involvement through operational discipline.

Sales Enablement & Local Team Support

Support and coordinate local business development efforts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing scripts and sales playbooks.
  • Creating objection-handling frameworks.
  • Preparing meeting materials.
  • Monitoring follow-up consistency.
  • Reviewing conversion performance.
  • Coaching teams on CRM usage and execution standards.
  • Driving accountability through regular reporting.

Branding, Positioning & Trust Building

Strengthen the organization's credibility and reputation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Enhancing website messaging.
  • Developing case studies and project stories.
  • Producing educational content.
  • Coordinating testimonials and social proof.
  • Ensuring message consistency across channels.
  • Positioning the organization as a trusted construction partner.

Website & Digital Presence

Ensure digital assets support conversion.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing website updates.
  • Improving landing pages and calls to action.
  • Optimizing user experience.
  • Coordinating external vendors.
  • Tracking website performance.

AI, Automation & Efficiency

Leverage technology to increase effectiveness.

Responsibilities include:

  • Using AI tools for content creation, reporting, outreach, and campaign development.
  • Building repeatable workflows.
  • Improving operational efficiency.
  • Identifying emerging technologies that create competitive advantages.

Offshore Team Coordination

Lead remote support resources effectively.

Responsibilities include:

  • Determining which activities should remain local versus offshore.
  • Building SOPs and templates.
  • Managing quality standards.
  • Coordinating execution timelines.
  • Supporting collaboration between field teams and centralized resources.

  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Experience managing remote or offshore teams.
