Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper (QuickBooks Online) to manage and record daily financial transactions for up to three distinct business entities. In this role, you will maintain up-to-date ledgers, reconcile bank accounts, process AP/AR, and support basic tax preparation workflows. We are a leading provider of technology solutions and profit management services for bar and restaurant operators. This position is ideal for a highly organized professional with QuickBooks Online proficiency and a strong foundation in day-to-day bookkeeping practices.

Schedule

Mon-Fri, 8 am - 12 pm Austin, TX time (20 hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Daily Transaction Management: Accurately record, monitor, and properly categorize all daily financial transactions for up to three distinct business entities.
• Financial Statement Preparation: Maintain up-to-date ledgers and prepare monthly financial statements to keep business numbers transparent and accurate.
• Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• AP/AR Management: Efficiently process accounts payable/receivable and manage recurring transaction workflows.
• Tax Alignment: Support basic tax preparation workflows and ensure ledgers are structured properly for tax accounting compliance.

Requirements

• Experience: 1 to 2 years of proven bookkeeping or junior accounting experience with excellent attention to detail.
• Software Proficiency: Strong, practical experience utilizing QuickBooks Online.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills for seamless remote collaboration.
• Analytical Skills: Strong mathematical competency, ledger balancing skills, and a high degree of discretion when handling sensitive financial data.
• Industry Experience: Prior experience handling bookkeeping or accounting workflows specifically for restaurants is highly preferred.
• Hybrid Skill Set: A foundational background or familiarity with tax accounting rules, alongside standard day-to-day bookkeeping practices, is highly preferred.
