Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Production & Template Drafter to support a growing online garden design company. In this role, you will convert raw garden design concepts into standardized, production-ready plan templates across various project sizes using VectorWorks. You will maintain design consistency, manage file organization, and help streamline the plan-to-template workflow. This part-time remote position requires 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule aligned with UK business hours (GMT).

Schedule: Mon-Fri, flexible within UK business hours (20 hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Convert garden design plans into standardised template formats across small, medium, and large categories

• Prepare and format design files in VectorWorks to ensure consistency and production-readiness

• Perform general administrative tasks related to plan management and file organisation

• Maintain quality and accuracy across a high volume of templated design outputs

• Support the design team by streamlining the plan-to-template workflow

Must-Have Requirements

• Proficiency in VectorWorks or comparable CAD software
• Prior experience in a drafting or CAD design role (minimum 3–4 years preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured template guidelines
• Ability to manage repetitive tasks while maintaining a high standard of accuracy
• Good written communication skills for coordinating with a UK-based team

Nice-to-Have Requirements

• Bonus if you have experience working in landscape, garden, or horticultural design environments
• It helps if you have worked with UK-based clients or teams and are comfortable with asynchronous remote collaboration
