Bilingual Medical Receptionist

Job Overview:

You will be the voice that brings patients back through the door. As the Medical receptionist for this pediatric dental practice, you'll proactively reach out to overdue patients, build rapport over the phone, and schedule them for their essential cleanings and checkups. This isn't about mass texting — it's about real conversations that make patients feel valued and motivated to prioritize their oral health. You'll work directly within the practice management software, manage a bilingual patient base, and play a critical role in filling the schedule and supporting the health of the community.

Schedule: Remote, Full Time | Monday-Friday 10am-7pm EST with a 1 hour lunch break.

Responsibilities

  • Call patients who are overdue for cleanings and checkups to schedule appointments
  • Conduct conversations in both English and Spanish to serve the neighborhood's diverse patient population
  • Schedule appointments directly into the dental practice management software
  • Handle patient questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy
  • Manage callback requests and follow up with patients as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach attempts and patient responses
  • Provide exceptional customer service that reflects the values of the pediatric dental practice
  • Work independently to manage daily call lists and meet scheduling goals

Requirements:

  • You must provide a Voice Recording link Introducing yourself in English and Spanish.
  • Prior experience as a healthcare receptionist or in a medical/dental office setting
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish (verbal and written)
  • Strong communication skills and professional phone manner
  • Customer service background with a patient-first approach
  • Experience scheduling appointments and managing patient outreach
  • Comfortable working remotely with stable internet connection
  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards
  • Proficiency with practice management software or similar scheduling systems
  • Bonus: if you have experience in pediatric or dental practices specifically
  • Bonus: if you're comfortable using VoIP dialers or cloud-based phone systems
  • Nice to have: It helps if you've worked with overdue patient recall campaigns
