Social Media Specialist
Client overview
This is a growing US-based non-profit arts education organisation dedicated to bringing high-quality arts experiences to young audiences and communities. Operating out of Texas, they are passionate about expanding their brand's reach and digital presence to connect with more supporters, partners, and the communities they serve. The team is mission-driven, collaborative, and looking for a talented remote professional to help take their social media and day-to-day operations to the next level.
Job description
You will own the social media presence for a purpose-driven organisation, creating compelling content that resonates with their audience and drives real, measurable growth in followers and engagement. You will be the voice behind their channels — crafting posts, building community, and keeping the brand consistent and vibrant across platforms. Beyond content, you will also provide light executive assistant support, helping keep operations running smoothly and acting as a reliable point of contact for day-to-day business coordination. This is a role where your creativity and organisational skills both get to shine.
Schedule: Part-time (20 hours/week), Monday to Friday, flexible during client business hours.
Client Timezone: CST (Texas time)
Responsibilities
- Create engaging content tailored to the brand's voice and target audience across social media platforms
- Schedule and publish posts consistently to maintain an active and growing online presence
- Monitor and engage with the audience to build community and foster brand loyalty
- Track social media performance metrics and adjust strategies to drive follower and engagement growth
- Provide light executive assistant support including administrative and operational tasks
- Manage day-to-day transactional tasks to support overall business operations
Must-have requirements
- Proven experience in social media content creation and management (APPLICATIONS WITH PORTFOLIOS WILL BE PRIORITIZED)
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices for organic growth
- Excellent written communication skills with a keen eye for visual aesthetics
- High level of attention to detail and ability to multitask across creative and administrative duties
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Nice-to-have requirements
- Bonus if you have experience working with non-profit, arts, education, or community-focused brands
- It helps if you have a background in graphic design or basic video editing to support content creation
- Bonus if you are familiar with social media scheduling and analytics tools (e.g. Later, Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar)
Why join this team
