Job Overview
Our client is looking for a highly skilled and data-driven Google Ads & Analytics Specialist to manage and optimize digital advertising campaigns while ensuring accurate tracking, measurement, and reporting.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Google Ads, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), and Google Tag Manager (GTM). This person should be comfortable analyzing campaign performance, troubleshooting tracking issues, implementing conversion tracking, and translating data into actionable recommendations.
The candidate should be able to work independently, identify opportunities for optimization, and clearly communicate campaign performance and insights to stakeholders.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST, with 1 hour unpaid lunch break (40 work hours per week)
Responsibilities
Google Ads Management:
- Create, manage, monitor, and optimize Google Ads campaigns.
- Manage Search, Display, Performance Max, Remarketing, and/or YouTube campaigns as applicable.
- Conduct keyword research and search-term analysis.
- Develop and optimize ad copy, keywords, audiences, and campaign structures.
- Monitor budgets, bids, cost-per-click (CPC), cost-per-lead (CPL), conversion rates, and return on ad spend (ROAS).
- Identify underperforming campaigns and implement optimization strategies.
- Monitor ad disapprovals, policy issues, and campaign performance.
- Perform regular account audits and recommend opportunities for improvement.
Google Analytics 4 (GA4):
- Set up and maintain GA4 tracking.
- Configure and monitor events, conversions, and key performance indicators.
- Analyze website traffic, user behavior, acquisition channels, and conversion performance.
- Identify discrepancies between Google Ads and GA4 data.
- Create actionable reports and insights based on analytics data.
- Troubleshoot tracking and attribution issues.
Google Tag Manager (GTM):
- Create and manage tags, triggers, and variables.
- Implement and troubleshoot conversion tracking.
- Set up event tracking through GTM.
- Test and validate tags to ensure accurate data collection.
- Troubleshoot tracking issues across websites and landing pages.
- Work with developers or website teams when technical implementation is required.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare regular Google Ads and analytics performance reports.
- Monitor KPIs and identify trends, opportunities, and potential issues.
- Translate data into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of tracking and campaign changes.
- Present findings to internal teams or clients when required.
Requirements
- 1–3+ years of hands-on experience managing Google Ads and digital advertising campaigns.
- Strong working knowledge of Google Ads.
- Strong knowledge of Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
- Hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager (GTM).
- Experience setting up and troubleshooting conversion tracking.
- Strong understanding of PPC, keyword research, bidding strategies, audience targeting, and campaign optimization.
- Ability to analyze campaign performance and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple campaigns or projects.
- Experience working with international clients or digital marketing agencies is a plus.
Qualifications
- Google Ads Certification.
- Google Analytics Certification.
- Experience with Looker Studio.
- Experience with Google Search Console.
- Knowledge of SEO and landing-page optimization.
- Experience with CRM integrations and offline conversion tracking.
- Experience with Meta Ads.
- Experience managing campaigns for US, Canadian, Australian, or UK markets.
- Experience managing lead-generation campaigns.
- Basic understanding of HTML, JavaScript, or data layers for troubleshooting GTM implementations.
