Job Overview

Our client is looking for an AutoCAD Facility Layout Drafter to own the AutoCAD layout work for a major facility consolidation project. Working directly with the leadership team, you'll translate manufacturing requirements into precise 2D drawings that enable contractors to execute electrical drops, air lines, and building utilities. This is a focused, high-impact project where your technical drawings will directly shape how a multi-facility operation comes together in one optimized space.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, Flexible hours Pacific Time (PT) (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Create 2D AutoCAD layouts for manufacturing facility consolidation using AutoCAD LT
• Develop machine footprint drawings and spatial arrangements based on operational requirements
• Produce electrical and utility drop plans that contractors can work from directly
• Adjust layouts iteratively based on feedback from the leadership team
• Ensure aisle spacing, machine placement, and workflow optimization in all drawings
• Provide quick-turnaround revisions as the project evolves
• Deliver contractor-ready drawings that support on-time facility move execution

Requirements

• Extensive experience using AutoCAD for facility or architectural layout work
• Proven ability to create building layouts, spatial plans, and mechanical footprints
• Experience working with contractors or manufacturing environments
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD LT or similar versions
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with US-based teams
• Ability to work independently and deliver polished drawings with minimal oversight
