This is a growing ERP solutions company with a team of around 21 employees, providing enterprise resource planning services and technology-driven business solutions to clients. The business is in an active growth phase and is building out internal functions to support a projected 1.5x to 4x expansion in team size. People operations are a strategic priority, and this role sits at the center of that ambition.

Job description

You will be the company's sole HR professional, owning the entire people function from day one. You will build and scale HR processes that don't yet exist, manage the full employee lifecycle across a remote and international team, and act as a trusted partner to leadership as the business grows. This is a rare opportunity to step into an autonomous HR role at a critical growth inflection point — and grow into an HR leadership position as the team expands.

Schedule: Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Manage the full employee lifecycle from sourcing, recruiting, and onboarding through to offboarding
• Coordinate training, development, and employee engagement initiatives
• Administer payroll processing and ensure compliance with compensation policies
• Maintain employee relations and serve as a point of contact for workplace matters
• Ensure compliance with U.S. labor laws and support international hiring processes
• Develop and refine HR policies and procedures to support organizational growth

Must-have requirements

• Minimum 7 - 8 years of experience across the full spectrum of HR functions; has the ability to lead 

  an HR function at a small company

• Strong knowledge of U.S. labor laws and regulations
• Experience with international hiring and managing remote or offshore team members
• Excellent communication skills with a high degree of accountability and ownership
• Natural leadership abilities with the capacity to grow into a senior HR role
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

Nice-to-have requirements

• Bonus if you have experience building HR processes from scratch in a startup or high-growth environment
• It helps if you hold an HR certification (e.g. SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent)
• Bonus if you have prior experience coordinating with finance teams on payroll reconciliation and headcount cost tracking
